___Typically employed when a change in machine performance or mechanical wear mechanism is detected, however, trends need to be observed to determine if the machine stabilizes, or if operational methods are causing the excursion. It is recommended to be re-greased and lubrication oil change. Typically, measurement frequency is doubled during this period
ACTION: Re-greasing on Lubrication Oil change then re-inspection.

Vibration, oil, temperature and operation data should be examined to determine dynamic data trends and root cause of problem. This allows for systemic failure repair (for example, bearings, lubrication, etc.), and allows source faults to be identified. Repairs and operational options (imbalance, misalignment, excessive machine speed, cooler problems, etc.) may be exercised to prolong machinery availability and minimize loss of production.
